Huskies fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 12-5 loss to Blue Valley Southwest on
Friday.

Blue Valley Southwest fired up the offense in the second inning. Bell singled on a 1-1 count,
scoring two runs. The Timberwolves would push across 5 runs total in the inning to take a 5-0 lead going into the 3rd inning.

Huskies collected nine hits on the day. Freshman Danni Waller went 2 for 4 and junior Brynn Grosdidier was 3 for 4 with 3 singles. Freshman Ella Burvee went 2 for 3 with a single and a double. The big hits of the day came from junior Shayla Edwards who tripled in the 4th inning and scored on a sac fly by Freshman Lainie Douglas. Senior Olivia Shin would hit a triple of her own in the 6th inning.

The Huskies struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Blue Valley Southwest, giving
up 12 runs on 12 hits, while making 5 errors. Freshman Elise Grosdidier took the loss for Huskies.

Junior Sophie Brickman was the winning pitcher for Blue Valley Southwest. The junior allowed five runs on nine hits while striking out six.
